Style: English balanced seat, Dressage, Jumping, and Eventing.
Ages: 6–25 years old
Lessons/Costs:
At Butler Equestrian, our lessons focus not only on building our students’ riding abilities but also on teaching them important horse management skills.
During a lesson, students will groom and tack their own horses, with their instructor's assistance (20-30 minutes, depending on ability level).
Once the 40-minute to 1-hour riding portion of the lesson is complete, students will again groom their horses and also clean their tack (15-20 minutes). (Riders should expect to spend 1.5 to 2 hours at the barn to complete their lesson responsibilities.)
1.5 Hour Group Lesson: (5 people) 1x a week or 2x a week for $75 a lesson. All group lessons are sold as a session (10–13 weeks) and not individually.
No make-up lessons are given for missed classes.
1.5 Hour Private: $95 a lesson
1.5 Hour Semi-Private: (2-3 people) $85 a lesson
Tiny Tots Program
Before joining the seasonal lesson program, we recommend that young children, ages 3–7, complete a series of Tiny Tot lessons. These are 30-minute semi-private lessons ($45 a lesson) that focus on learning safety and the basics of grooming and tacking. This is a great way to see your child interact with a pony and become comfortable and confident before joining the seasonal lesson program. Parent participation is required.
