Summer Fun at Butler Equestrian
For students seeking a camp-like all day (8am to 3:30pm) Equestrian experience we will be hosting three 1–week Equestrian Clinics.
- Clinic 1: June 28–July 2
- Clinic 2: July 26–July 30
- Clinic 3: Aug 23–Aug 27
Our Summer Clinics are fun-filled days at the barn! Each day will include one mounted lesson or trail ride, time working in the barn and caring for the horses, and time working on horsemanship/horse management skills with fun crafts, swimming, and games.
Activities will be dependent on the age and ability level of the children.
Each group (8 max) will have a senior counselor (over 18), and a junior counselor with them all day, and be joined by an instructor for mounted/various activities.
Each clinic is a full week, Monday–Friday (We are not able to offer drop-in slots, and there are no refunds for missed days)
Drop off will be 8–8:15 am. Pick up will be from 3:30–3:45 pm (There is no extended day available)
The fee is $525 per clinic
Students new to our program will need to have an evaluation prior to registration. Evaluations will take place Feb 14-27 and May 16-22.
What will my child need to participate in a 1-week clinic?
Summer Lesson Session(s)
For students that wish to continue with weekly riding lessons through the summer, we are offering three Summer Lesson mini-sessions.
- Summer Lesson Session 1: May 30–June 26 (4–weeks)
- Summer Lesson Session 2: July 4–24 (3–weeks)
- Summer Lesson Session 3: Aug 1–27 (3–weeks)
These lessons will run as per our ongoing yearly lesson program. Lessons will be scheduled in 1.5 hour time frames (which include grooming, tacking, riding, and cleaning tack after the lesson) Tuesday through Sunday between 8 am–7 pm.
To help assist families with vacations etc, we split the season into mini-sessions, therefore we will not be offering make-ups for missed lessons in the summer session(s).
The Fee per session is based on a $55 per lesson amount, X (multiplied by) the number of lessons per week (1x or 2x), X the number of weeks per session (3–weeks or 4–weeks). Total amounts will be in the registration portal.
The Horse Lease program will continue through the summer. Lessons and lease rides will happen as usual during the Summer Lesson mini-session weeks. Please Note: there will be no lessons or lease rides during the clinic weeks.
All students will need to have their own riding boots, ASTM approved riding helmet (sorry, no bike/other sport helmets), and gloves.
Students new to our program will need to have an evaluation prior to registration.
Evaluations will take place Feb 14-27 and May 16-22.
Please contact Emily if you have questions or are interested in an evaluation.
Current client registration for summer begins on Jan 31. New client registration for summer lessons and clinics will open on February 28 and close on May 22. Please see our Equestrian Calendar for all dates/activities.
